End of the Jam Nights @ The Saloon
We regret the news that The Las Vegas Country Saloon has decided to close on Monday and Tuesday nights and therefore ending our year long run of the Monday Night Musician’s Jam Network and Tuesday Night BLUES @ The Saloon.
So many talents musicians were able to meet other like minded musicians and professionals at these great invaluable events by musicians for musicians in support of live music here in Las Vegas.
We would like to thank every musician who have taken the stage with us over the last year. In addition, an especially huge thank you to our generous sponsors, Sam Ash Music and Dr. Duck’s Ax Wax.
We are confident that we will find another home for these two great events. Until then, enjoy this recording from the final Monday Night Musician’s Jam Network.

NEW: Tuesday Night Blues @ The Saloon
The popularity of the Monday Night Musician’s Jam Network has taken off over the last six months since I pitched the idea to the venue beyond my expectations. Since then so many singers and musicians have met and created new bands and projects together, many new friendships have been made, and musicians have been able to take the stage and hone their craft.
Last Monday night there were over 25 very talented performers who took the stage for the most amazing jam night with Country, Rock, and Blues.
We are excited to announce a second jam and networking event starting this Tuesday, March 16th at 9pm.
Tuesday Night Blues @ The Saloon
Las Vegas Country Saloon
425 E. Fremont Street
(above Hennessey’s)
The Voodoo Cowboys will host this jam and networking night of blues just like the program for the Monday Night Jam Network. However this will be a night for Blues Genre.
Singers, Musicians and music lovers, please show your support for live music in Las Vegas and keeping it playing.

Live Music in Vegas Keeps Getting Quieter
The decline of live Las Vegas Entertainment continues to prevail as it claims yet another victim. The news that Charlie’s Bar (2089 N. Jones) will close next week was shocked its regular neighborhood patrons. However it was even more shocking to the regular live bands that have played in rotation at Charlie’s Bar.
Charlie’s Bar will go out in true rock star fashion as it will host an all out musician’s jam going away party of sorts on Wednesday, August 20th. According to Doug, everyone is invited to come, play, share stories and close down Charlie’s Bar in a way fitting for the thousands of musicians who have graced the stage.
One may think that one bar closing is not that big of a deal as Vegas is full of them. However it is quickly becoming a trend of closing establishments that are fixtures in our neighborhood that employs our citizens, provides a literal stage for local bands to haon their skills as musicians and generates gaming and other tax revenue for our city.
A drive down any major Las Vegas street whether it be Charleston, Sahara, Tropicana or Flamingo shows the signs the economy chipping away at what has always been the thriving entertainment capital of the world. A whole host of bars and restaurants closed and their rich history all but forgotten. In recent weeks, Spanky’s Pub also has been forced to close.
Some blame the ban on smoking in bars and restaurants which was voted into law in January 2007. Yet some locals state that they simply do not have the money to go to bars and restaurants anymore. Dinner and an evening of entertainment is a luxury that far too many can no longer afford.
Although The Strip continues to maintain and news is hopeful of a recovery, our neighborhoods that surround the strip could become an entertainment ghost town which we will only have fond memories and stories to share of what local entertainment was all about long ago.

The boys were at it again as they helped to raise money for the Salvation Army. The night was full of music as the Bobby Kingston Band opened the night followed by the Voodoo Cowboys. There were many happy winners of drawing prizes that were donated by Las Vegas Country Saloon, Bobby Kingston, Scott Woodward of the Voodoo Cowboys, VIPette Events, Johnny Cash Tribute Show, and David Saxe Productions.
The Voodoo Cowboys are dedicated to giving back to the Las Vegas community as thanks for the continued support of in their passion for live music in Las Vegas.
